Konavel space configuration is special;
it is a fertile and hydrous valley that extends from northwest to southeast,
with a length of up to 35 km and a width of up to 12 km. On the hill side it is bordered by the slopes of Snjeznica (height 1234 m) towards BiH and Bjelotina towards Montenegro, and from the sea side by steep rocks from the port of Cavtat to Molunt and the Prevlaka peninsula (Cape Oštro). The western, narrowest crossing into Konavle is from the area of the settlements of Oboda and Cavtat, and the southern one is at the height of the hill Kobile on the bay in the Bay of Boka Kotor.
The sea and land areas from the west are formed by the Parish Bay — Cavtat Bay with peninsulas and islets, and to the south the Molunat Peninsula with two bays and two islands, and finally the Prevlaka peninsula.
The Municipality of Konavle covers an area of 209.25 km2, includes 33 settlements with about 9,500 inhabitants, and the seat of the Municipality is in Cavtat.
